I've been spending a lot of time farming lately, as I'm saving for FoW armour.

I have a 55 SS Necro who can farm Hydras and Trolls endlessly.
I use a MM/SS build to ORO farm in SF, and in the TotPK.

Recently me and my friend have been SS/55 the UW, with good results.

But we want to try to farm FoW now, mainly due to the better weapon drops.

I know its possible but after trying to search these forums I'm struggling.

What I want to know is what differences on both builds do we need?

My SS for UW -

Spiteful Spirt // Archane Echo // Sympathetic Visage // Desecrate Enchantments // Awaken The Blood // Blood Ritual // Enfeebling Blood Resurection Signet

My friends Monk Build for UW

Protective Spirit // Healing Breeze // Spell Breaker // Blessed Aura // Mending // Balthazaars Spirit // Essence Bond // Bonnettis Defence

Anyway, we can farm the UW for hours without one of us dying, having no problems. We do the usual run of Ataxe's, Smiters and Coldfires. Nightmares dont even pose a problem anymore.

But how would the FoW differ for us? Could we just walk in and use the same tactics and get trhough it, or are there enemies like the Smiters where a specific tactic is needed (In this case SV followed by two SS's).

Just wondering if someone has the time to explain to us, or point me in the direction of a good guide.

It's more challenging than UW, but the tactics used are similar to that used against the Smites.

SV is needed, but unlike Smites, the priority targets Shadow Monks and Mesmers do not do melee attacks, so Shadow Warriors are your friends (for awhile). SS alone is not enough, as you may fine that you end up killing the Warriors before the Monks and/or Mesmers (due to the Monks healing and rez'ing). So some skills will need to be changed as the ones used for UW may not be as effective.

Once you can handle the Shadow Army, the same can be done to the Skeleton Army. However, your tactics will change slightly for the other mobs there.
